Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): Civil service aspirants – under the name of PSAN (Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland) – have expressed “full support” to the ACAUT’s demand for the state government to cancel all illegal appointments.

On Wednesday the group issued a press release, stating their support. “It is the right of every educated person to get a free and fair opportunity in matters of employment and hence, the politicians should not hinder the development and progress of the upcoming generation by appointing only their candidates in an unethical and unfair manner.

“PSAN also reiterates on its earlier demands as mentioned in the representations submitted to the governor on (16th December, 2016) and the chief secretary. Posts that are lying vacant in numerous departments should be requisitioned to NPSC,” it stated.

It stated that the ‘present government’ would do a great deal of welfare to the “educated unemployed” young men and women of Nagaland if a staff selection commission/board “in line with the central government’s staff selection commission” could be set up for recruitment to those posts which do not come under the purview of NPSC.

“PSAN further applauds the bold and right-thinking politician, Mr Mhonlumo Kikon, for his queries in the NLA session. It is the wish and dream of every right-thinking citizen to have a public leader of his calibre and mentality,” it stated.
