Churches Colony notifies business establishment

DIMAPUR — Churches Colony under DMC ward-21 has notified all business establishments within its jurisdiction to stop using the name ‘City Tower’ or ‘City Tower Area’ when referring to their location but instead use the proper and official name ‘Churches Colony.’

A press release issued by the colony GB, N Ghoshito Achumi, pointed out that the name ‘City Tower’ solely refers to the former building that now houses HDFC/ Bandhan Bank. To avoid any confusion and maintain accurate nomenclature, he has directed all businesses within the colony to stop using the name ‘City Tower’ or ‘City Tower Area’ when referring to their location but instead use the official name ‘Churches Colony.’

He mentioned that those establishments along the stretch on I Vikheshe Sumi Road could use ‘Churches Colony, I Vikheshe Sumi Road’ and those along the stretch on Tajen Ao Road as ‘Churches Colony, Tajen Ao Road.’

He has requested to update the signage, marketing materials and any other relevant references to reflect the accurate name of the area by the end of February second week. He informed that failure to comply with the order would compel the colony council to initiate its own course of action.
