Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): As part of the month-long Poshan Maah or nutrition month celebration, Chümoukedima block has taken up various activities such as Poshan seminar, awareness camp and anaemia screening camp for adolescent girls, panchayat meeting and Poshan local food melas during the month of September.
In this regard, a block convergence action plan meeting was held at the office of Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) on September 9 chaired by EAC Chümoukedima, Thejavizo Nakhro. The meeting was attended by block officers of various line departments, a DIPR report stated on Tuesday.
Activities at the village-level would include community-base events, mothers meetings, home visits and VHSNDs that would be conducted by Anganwadi workers in convergence with ASHA and ANM.
According to member secretary and CDPO, Dimapur (Rural), Bonathung Ngullie, the action plan activities would be conducted in convergence with Health and Family Welfare, Rural Development, PHED, Rural Development-NRLM, School Education, Food and Civil Supplies departments at the block-level. Social Welfare is the nodal department for Poshan Abhiyan.
