Sitting MLA of 38 Wokha Town and Advisor of Law and Justice, Dr. Chumben Murry, announced on Sunday that he won’t be contesting the Nagaland Assembly Election 2023.
In a video message, Murry stated that he was “hoping to serve another term” but cited “sudden unforeseen circumstances and events” for not participating in the ensuing election.
Murry thanked his supporters for electing him for two terms to the NLA.
He added that he won’t be leaving politics, and would continue to work for the uplift and betterment of the Lotha community.
