MOKOKCHUNG — The 4th triennial conference of the Chuchuyimlang Kaketshir Telongjem (CKT) began at Chuchuyimlang village, Mokokchung, themed “Created to create: kingdom stewards” on Saturday.
Nuklutoshi, MLA, attended the event as the chief guest, while Senti Ao, IAS (retd.), was the conference theme speaker.
In his address, Nuklutoshi urged the youth, who represent the 15th generation of Chuchuyimlang, to develop a forward-thinking and mature outlook. While acknowledging that some cherished traditions should remain untouched, he noted the need to adapt and evolve in response to a rapidly changing world.
He called on young people to shed any notions of superiority or inferiority, reminding them that no one is inherently above or below another. The MLA described jealousy as a toxic force that obstructs both individual development and community advancement.
Nuklutoshi further stressed the importance of cultivating mutual respect and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding. He encouraged the youth to embrace gratitude, overcome feelings of low self-worth, and build genuine self-confidence and inner motivation.

He advised the students to venture beyond their comfort zones, value the dignity of honest work, and acquire practical skills for self-sufficiency and independence. He further called on the young generation to live out their Christian faith authentically in both character and actions and to study the Bible diligently for wisdom and guidance.
Deliberating on the theme, Senti described human beings as God’s crowning creation, inherently designed to be creative. He posed the question: “Who truly qualifies as a kingdom steward?”
He explained that stewardship begins with honouring God’s blueprint for family life—entering into sacred marriage, raising children, and guiding them to live in reverence of God. At its core, he said, lies the call to serve others selflessly with love and compassion.
Senti highlighted the broader responsibility to care for God’s creation, advocating for environmental responsibility and ecological harmony. He described technology as a divine gift flowing from human creativity and urged its responsible and ethical use.
The inaugural session also included the presentation of the conference vision by Tamanokdang, a member of the CKT Educational Trust, along with a special performance by the CKT Dimapur Unit.
The conference will continue until January 12 and will hold discussion and brainstorming sessions on topics including Industry 4.0, Generative AI, and Biblical Entrepreneurship.
