[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ife in a way is all about living and loving. Live your life in the way of love and love will follow you all around. When we talk about love we always think of our family, friends and dear ones. Love is not just for people whom we know or care; everybody needs love and everybody wants to be loved. But human love is conditional, as long as you are happy or your needs are met. However, as love came down at Christmas, let us focus our mind and heart on the love that came down from above.
I was so engrossed with my own definition of love that I forgot the real meaning of Love. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud… love is not selfish… Christmas is here again and I am reminded of that great Love that came down from heaven. I was really struggling a lot with this question: why human love is always conditioned? Why can’t we love like God loved us….Its really hard to go on with life when whom we dearly love leaves us. It becomes harder when we can’t let it go. How would have God felt when He let Jesus passed through this world of pain and hatreds… God might have felt the pinch but His love is greater and we can never comprehend the depth of His love. The love of God is so great that our love is nothing in front of His. So, this Christmas reflect on the love of God and let His love dwell in You.
Christmas is not just a time of merry-making or spending time with love ones. It is more about living the love that God had shown us. We make Christmas a season which is for a time being, which is limited and which fades away. We are more into those stuff that brings momentary pleasures and honour. But we tend to forget the real value of celebrating Christmas. Christmas is not just a season or a festival; it is a way of life. Let this spirit of Christmas guide each one of us in the path of love, the love that came from above and dwelled among us.
Human love is conditional and so there are limitations. But God’s love is unconditional, no matter what He loves us. Christmas is a celebration of God’s love; it is a time of sharing this great love with one another. So, make this Christmas a meaningful and memorable one. Rekindle lost love, renew old friendships and bring joy to those who are lonely and weary. Don’t just let this Christmas be another season in our lives but let this love of Christmas continue to live and lead us throughout the days of our life.
