Christina wins district-level Hindi essay writing contest

[caption id="attachment_282820" align="alignnone" width="565"] DEO Dimapur R Amongla Jamir giving away a prize to one of the winners of the district-level Hindi essay writing competition on November 7.[/caption] Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): Christina Ming from GHS Naharbari won the first position at the district-level Hindi essay writing competition, while Ganchuilu from GHS Burma Camp and Brayel from GHS Thilixu secured the second and third positions respectively. The essay writing competition was jointly organised by the office of the district education office (DEO) and Dimapur unit of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) on November 7 at Town Middle School, Dimapur, with the DEO Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir as the special guest. An update from the president of ANHTU Dimapur unit, Pitemo Lotha, stated that the competition was financed by Samagra education under the directorate of school education. Altogether, 25 students from various government high schools in Dimapur have participated in the competition. DEO Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir gave away the certificates and awards to the winners. In a similar programme, Kohima unit of the ANHTU organised a Hindi essay writing competition on October 8 at RBPS, Kohima. The competition was organised in coordination with the DEO Kohima and funded by Samagra Shikhsha under the directorate of School Education. Out of 18 participants, Kamala of GHS PWD bagged the first position, while Ruokuovolie of GHS Zhadima secured the second position, followed by Trisha Sonar of GHS PWD and Sumit Jayswal of GHS Chandmari in the third positions.
