Dimapur, Sep. 1 (EMN): The 1st Kuniho Memorial U-17 Football Tournament organised by 111 Bn Bsf concluded today with Sh Angom Shamoo, DIG BSF SHQ Manipur gracing the occasion as the chief guest. This was stated in a press note.
In the final match of the tournament, Chozuba Village defeated St Andrew School, Thenyizumi 4 - 3 at Chozuba Town local ground to lift the Trophy, medals and a cash prize of Rs 20000/-.
The runners up team collected a trophy, medals and a cash prize of Rs 10000/-. Third place, Brothers FC, Chetheba walked away with a cash prize of Rs 5000/- and medals. Other individual prize winners were:
Highest scorer: Toh of Chozuba Village - Rs 2000.
Best Player: Thujosa of Chozuba Town Youth Association - Rs 5000.
Best Goal Keeper: Nulhuta of Chozuba Village - Rs 5000.
The tournament was organised by 111 Bn BSF in memory of the martyrs of BSF CI Post Lanye and also to provide a platform for the young football talents of the region stated the note.
