Bank running with only two employees
Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The Chozuba branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Phek district was reported to be facing acute shortage of staff, with just two employees in there presently. Former vice president of the Chakhesang Student Union, Kezhohü Rhakho, said, “It’s been four months now that the bank is surviving with just two staff including the branch manager.”
Despite repeated communication to the authority in concern about the shortage of staff, the matter was yet to be addressed, he informed. “Both the staff are unable to meet the requirements of the customers in queue on a daily basis.”
Taking into consideration the difficulties being faced by the public and the bank staff, Rhakho has appealed to the authorities in concern to resolve the issue at the earliest.
