Chümoukedima, Kiphire, and Meluri districts hold DPDB meetings at respective district headquarters on Monday.

DIMAPUR — The monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meetings of Chümoukedima, Kiphire, and Meluri districts were held at their respective district headquarters on Monday.
Chümoukedima: The meeting was held at DPDB’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Polan John.
The meeting commenced with the review of last DPDB minutes followed by an address from DPDB chairman and Advisor of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, a DIPR report stated.
In his address, Zhaleo urged members to regularly attend meetings and contribute their best efforts, sharing valuable inputs on any relevant subject matter, given their role in promoting the welfare of the people. He also requested the deputy commissioner to monitor the DPDB members' participation, noting that it would impact their APAR assessment reports.
After deliberation, the board agreed to recommend the following agendas, namely change of location of Millers Mission School from present location (Unity village) to Diezephe village, introduction of commerce stream at GHSS Singrijan, upgrade of Government Middle School, Khriezephe, to high school, and proposal for construction of District Employment Exchange office. The proposal for construction of Excise Department office was deferred to the next meeting.

District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Nikito Zhimomi, gave a PowerPoint presentation highlighting key functions, including identifying at-risk families and children in need of care and protection. He also discussed creating databases to track trends and patterns among children in difficult circumstances, and outlined the department's activities and schemes.
The next PPT will be presented by Agriculture department.
Kiphire: The meeting was held at the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Temsuwati Longkumer, who is also vice chairman of DPDB Kiphire.
After reviewing of the minutes of the previous meeting, the DC briefed members on the Independence Day celebration preparations, announcing that Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton will be the chief guest at the district event.
EAC (HQ) Takatemjen Pongen emphasised the importance of setting up She-Box and IC details at the district level, noting that only a few departments had submitted the required information so far. He provided a detailed presentation on configuring She-Box and urged the departments to follow suit.
Superintendent of Police Chinese Chakhesang also highlighted on the influx of drugs, child trafficking and child abuse in the district.

ADC, Longdiba L Sangtam, informed that there will be mass social work for the upcoming Independence Day on August 12 starting from 6 am onwards.
A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Sentiwapang NPS, SDO Kiphire. Meanwhile, the DC notified the Rural Development and Soil & Water Conservation departments to prepare their presentations for the upcoming DPDB meeting.
Meluri: The meeting took place at the DB's Court, DC Office, where Advisor for N&RE and NSDMA, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, welcomed the attendees.
Following a review of the previous meeting's minutes, the following agendas were discussed and recommended: creating an Assistant Commandant VG post at Phokhungri HQ, upgrading SDAO (Agriculture) to DAO, SDHO (Horticulture) to DHO, and SDO (PHED) to Executive Engineer (PHED), as well as establishing a Sub-Divisional Fisheries office.
The PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities was presented by Sub-Divisional Educational Officer Meluri (SDEO) Kaitunchap.
