Selling one’s right is against God’s will
Dimapur, Feb. 14 (EMN): President of Chakhesang Public Organization, Kekhwengulo Lea urged the intending candidates for the 17th Chizami constituency to fulfil what they have said on the ‘common platform ‘once they win and to be instrumental in forming clean and stable government after the election.
Lea was speaking at the ‘common platform’ programme, organised for candidates by the Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) on Feb. 14 at the local ground of Chizami, updates from organisers informed.
Sharing concerns of Chakhesang community, the president reminded VCCs, women and youth front and Chakhesang Student Union to uphold the interest of the Chakhesang people.
Convener of CCEM, Dr. Küzhopoyo Tünyi, expounded the purpose of the movement. He also cautioned voters from selling their votes as selling one’s right is against the will of the Lord.
Candidates were also urged to observe the elections code of conduct and keep oneself worthy of being a leader.
All the candidates gave a brief highlight of their party’s manifesto, visions and plans for the people of the constituency in particular and Nagas in general.
