DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Centre for Human Development and Information Technology (NCHD-IT), a non-profit organisation, on Friday organised an annual children’s library fair at Government Primary School (GPS) in Ghokito village under Niuland district.

An update from NCHD-IT informed that the event began with screening of a short video highlighting the education journey of the organisation led by its chairperson, Takamenla.

It stated that award for good attendance (2023-2024) was presented to S Lithungo Lotha by the chief guest and senior SDEO of Dimapur, Jevika Kiba.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiba acknowledged the NCHD-IT team for their significant contributions towards the community, particularly in enhancing learning opportunities.

She lauded the organisation for promoting co-curricular activities and emphasised the vibrant library concept for children in government schools. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity extended to the village and GPS Ghokito. She further encouraged teachers to continue their mission in nurturing the children.

Short speeches were also delivered by Ahoshe Kiho, chairman of Ghokito village, and Akashe Zhimomi, school in-charge of GPS Ghokito.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Alemla Longchar of NCHD&IT. She has appreciated the village council members, residents of the village, parents, teachers and students for their participation at the programme.
