Children's home sensitised on Covid-19

Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): An awareness and sensitisation programme on different topics of Covid-19 was carried out for the children staying at Vesa Children Home (Khuzani) at Chesezu village in Phek district on May 31. According to an update, it was informed the programme was initiated by community health officer (CHO) of Chesezu sub-centre-health and wellness centre (SC-HWC) along with ASHA.

"As children are vulnerable to diseases it is important to take necessary precautions to protect them from infections especially during Covid-19 Pandemic," it read.

The children were informed and educated on how the virus is spread, and were sensitised on the importance of social distancing, hand hygiene, cough etiquette and to wear mask whenever they go out. Hand washing techniques were also demonstrated to them, it added.
