Childline Kohima conducts awareness on child issues

[caption id="attachment_205291" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Childline Kohima members along with the principal and participants during the awareness programme on child issues in Kohima.[/caption] Dimapur, Sep. 6 (EMN): The Childline Kohima has conducted an awareness programme on child related issues at Government Polytechnic Kohima on Sep. 6 in the presence of the principal, teachers , and students of the institute. A statement from the institution informed on Thursday. It stated that violence against children has become a harsh reality in Nagaland today. Incidents of child exploitation, physical and sexual abuse were reported to have increased. It has become a concern that requires urgent collective action for protection of children in the state. The participants pledged their commitment to support Childline and to be ambassadors for child protection. It further informed that Childline Kohima was taking up preventive measures on crime against children.
