Childline Kohima asked to update data

Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): Kohima district Childline advisory board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, in the DC’s conference hall on June 23.
Addressing the members, Deputy Commissioner appreciated the Kohima Childline team for their good work in helping the children in need of care and protection. He also asked the Kohima Childline to revise their data in order to present accurate data to the people in the district.
Coordinator Childline Kohima, Dr. Vezokho Kapu made a power point presentation wherein he highlighted on the activities of Childline Kohima in rendering services such as rescuing missing children, abused children, run away children, medical assistance, child labour, street children, differently abled and all kinds of children in need of care and protection. He also informed about toll free No. 1098- emergency phone outreach service for children in need.
The members also discussed on the need for Childline rescue van for swift intervention; conducting special orientation programme for District Task Force Committee members, Anganwadi workers , ASHA workers and nurses on child rights; and incorporation of Childline logo and message at traffic points and police barricades.
