Child rights commission to hear complaints

Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights will be hearing complaints about child rights violations during a sitting it has scheduled for Kiphire district.

The public of the district are informed that a sitting of the commission will be conducted on September 26 in the DPDB hall of the deputy commissioner’s office, updates stated.

The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates on Wednesday offering details about the scheduled programme.

The commission is a statutory body of the government of India that was formed from the CPCR Act of 2007. The work of the commission is to enable all children to enjoy their rights as enshrined in the constitution and provisioned under different acts and laws, the IPR stated.

‘The commission is visiting the district to take complaints against any child rights violation. Any person including children, parent, guardian, caretaker or any other individual working for child rights can submit their complaints to the Commission on 26th September 2019, registration will starts at 9 a.m. so any person in Kiphire can make their complain before the Commission on the said date without fail,’ the IPR stated.
