Thanks to the Forest Department for the conservation and protection of Amur Falcon putting Nagaland on the world map for successful conservation and protection of the migratory bird with the help of various NGOs. They have really done a great job.
But, what about human being missing daily in Nagaland? Is there any particular department in Nagaland taking care of human being missing daily? Are there any NGOs finding out the causes and means to stop human from being missing? Our daily newspapers are highlighting the photo of missing person every day. Thanks to the media house for publicizing the issue; but whether any agency is pursuing the matter or not is never known. Is the government of the day overlooking about missing children?
If they are pursuing these cases, they should highlight atleast some cases in the press to win the confidence of the people.
If the cases are just recorded for the sake of record; it is high time the government look into the cases and a strategy work out to contain this menace immediately. Where do these missing persons go? Are these missing persons being kidnapped for the organs trade, prostitution or any other purpose? Has there been any record of missing person being found after publication in the media? The state government should ponder upon such alarming issues instead of pondering just about monetary gains. Are human beings not worth thousands of birds? Why government agencies, NGOs and churches are keeping silent on rthe daily missing people? It is high time we delve into and do something on this matter.
