Chief Secy bats for more Naga students in SSG

Sainik School Goalpara (Assam) has celebrated its golden Jubilee on November 12 with Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Alemtemshi Jamir, as the guest of honor. In his speech, Alemtemshi Jamir has paid rich tribute to his Alma Mater which has produced many distinguished citizens in the North East India.
He has also requested the school authority and the Sainik School Society of India to start recruiting Naga boys in Goalpara as well, in addition to Punglwa, Nagaland.
The bust of the founding Principal of the School, Lt. Col. DN Sahani was inaugurated in front of the main school building by Alemtemshi Jamir.
The function concluded with plantation of sapling by the chief guest, organized by Environment Club of the school and a Barakhana in the school mess.
Other alumni of the school who attended the jubilee celebration included Capt. Hekiye Sema; Commissioner and Secretary Abio Kire; Director I&C Er. Thekrunietuo Kire; Director NRE Er. Thekru S Angami; Chief Engineer PWD Er. V Kehie; Additoional Chief Engineer PWD Er. Khupi Natso; DPO, RD & Brig. Sihu Bizo; and Director RSB K Roy Choudhary.
