With barely few days left for the much-hyped Hornbill Festival of Nagaland to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister TR Zeliang has been taking keen interest to oversee the progress of beautification and various construction works in the State capital. The Chief Minister accompanied by Home Minister, Y Patton, President of Angami Public Organisation (APO) Keneingunyü Sekhose and Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) President, Pele Khezhie today inspected the ongoing construction works of the retaining wall at PHQ junction, PR Hill here.
Talking to media persons, NCSU President, Pele said that the CM has been taking personal interest to complete all such developmental works and cleanliness drives.
He also revealed that yesterday too Chief Minister and his entourage inspected the progress of the almost complete Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) above by-pass Check Gate.
Sources said that the visiting Prime Minister is likely to dedicate the ISBT in the service of the people of the State.
Mention may be made here that the visit of Prime Minister assumes significance as Modi would be the first Prime Minister to be officially visiting Nagaland after then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s visit in 2003.
