Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The Chiechama Village Council (CVC) and its constituent units GBs, CVYS, CWS, and CSU held an emergency meeting, in connection with the murdered of Swuduve Nakro, on September 8 at Council Hall.
In a press statement the CVC chairman, Neitso Sogotsu and general secretary, Ruokuozolie Rüpreo, stated that during the meeting, the house resolved to condemn the barbaric and senseless murder of Swuduve Nakro by three miscreants on the fateful night of September 2 at its village jurisdiction which has defamed the peaceful and good image of the village, and therefore declared that there is no room/reason to forgive the murderers.
The members also appealed to judiciary to give severest punishment to three murderers according to the law of the land.
The punishment of all murderers should be the same and should not be granted bail to accused persons under any circumstances, the release added.
Further, CVC also cautioned that the village will take any action against those three murderers if they get bail and found roaming in its village’s jurisdiction.
