Chang Students' Conference temporarily suspends agitation

Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students' Conference) has temporarily suspended its ongoing indefinite agitation in connection with the relocation of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Tuensang.

The student body informed in a press release that the agitation was suspended with effect from June 22 in view of the approval letter from the Commissioner Office on Tuesday.

However, it said it will resume the agitation if the state government fails to implement its demand by July 15.

The Chang Students' Conference also acknowledged the district administration, security force, federating units, Chang apex organisations and the people of Tuensang for adhering to its directives during the agitation.
