Chang Khulei Setshang reaffirms stand to abstain from Assembly election

The Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), which is the apex tribal body of the Chang community, reaffirmed to stand firm on the ENPO resolution of August 26, 2022 to abstain from the upcoming 14 Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections.

A statement from CKS said that the intending candidates were restricted from filling nomination within Chang jurisdiction.

“Stern action will be taken against those who violate this notification,” it read.

It further stated that the notification would be enforced till an amicable solution is resolved for the eastern Nagas by the govt. of India.
