Chakhroma Sports Association to observe 50th Anniversary

Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): The Chakhroma Sports Association (CSA) will observe its 50th Anniversary celebration from January 21 to the 25th at Chümoukedima Town, Dimapur with Zale Neikha, advisor for Youth Resources and Sports and Zhaleo Rio, advisor for Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs as special guests.

A press release issued by the association stated that the five-day event will begin with unveiling of monolith by Neikha in commemoration of 50 years of CSA’s existence. It added that the inaugural programme would begin from 9 am at Local Ground, Chümoukedima, which will be followed by Naga-style wrestling (both senior and under-16 category) for the four Chakhroma groups where over 80 wrestlers of different categories will compete.

The weeklong celebration will showcase different sporting events like wrestling, football, volleyball, indoor games, athletics, etc. where the four designated groups under Chakhroma region will vie for the prizes .

It added that a grand community feast with Zhaleo Rio as the special guest would draw the curtains of the celebration on the final day.

The organising committee has requested all the four concerned units to contact their respective officials for details of the event.
