Chakhroma Public Organisation resolves to commemorate 150th anniversary
DIMAPUR — Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has unanimously resolved to commemorate its 150th anniversary in 2024 and nominated the planning and finance committee members to chalk out further plan of action.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its executive meeting held at CPO Hall in Chümoukedima on Wednesday, stated an update from CPO.
In his presidential address, CPO president, Zhato Kimho, on behalf of Chakhroma people, acknowledged Zhaleo Rio, advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, for carrying out an arduous spot verification of every nook and cranny in Dimapur city with regard to drainage system, flood control, sewage management, etc.
“It is a first by an advisor and his concern for the people is exemplary,” said Kimho, while adding that ongoing development works in the town are because of his concern as a people leader. He further informed that the advisor had assured to expedite all other activities.
It mentioned that CPO would host the Angami Sekrenyi 2024 festival under the aegis of APO next year at State stadium, Dimapur. The house also appealed to the village authorities to prevent hunting of flora and fauna to conserve the environment.
