Chakhesangs sweep Naga Wrestle Mania-3

It was the day for the Chakhesang Nagas as they swept the champion’s title in the three different weight categories of Naga Wrestle Mania-3 (King of Ring Series 2014) organised by Elite Entertainment Enterprise (3E) at Kohima Local Ground.
The category wise winners are as follows:Heavy Weight: Vechita Khesoh knocked Thepukhoyi Swüro in straight two bouts of the final to emerge as champion.
Middle Weight Weight: Venuzo Dawhuo defeated Khruzoto Tetseo by 2-1 to become the new champ.
Light Weight Weight: Vekuto Soho overcame the only Angami finalist Megovizo Visienyü in straight two bouts bag the first position.
The champion’s in all the categories bagged Rs. 50,000 each with citation while runners-up received Rs. 30,000 each with citation and two losing semi-finalist got Rs. 10,000 each with citation.
Witnessing the first day of the Mania as special invitee, Principal Government Polytechnic Kohima and former President of Northern Angami Sports Association, Vipulhou Lhoungu handed over the prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, the Junior Category of Naga Wrestle Mania-3, which has 17 upcoming wrestlers alongside the first time Konyak participant identified as M. Khampei Konyak, will be held at 11AM tomorrow while King of the Ring Series 2014 will be held in the evening.
Out of the 84 wrestlers in LIGHT WEIGHT category 19 have been selected for the King of the Ring Series, they are: Rükülhü Phesao, Seyielezo Savino, Shetsu Vadeo, Vetazo Veswüh, S. Romeo, Kehousalie Kiekha, Mhasheto Khamo, Neidamo Leno, Kuolierie Kuotsu, D. Saputou Sha, Megovizo Visienyü, Vekutho Soho, Kezheseto Kuotsu, Vielhoupe Koza, Menose Zhashümo, Veduto Theyo, Rakuyi Lala, Sounü, Therusevi Meru and Veikhro.
In the MIDDLE WEIGHT, the 19 selected are: Küneshoyi Zu-o, Yevoto Riga, Nlumrai Hegwang, Vetshepe Doulo, Khoveta Lala, Seketyoukho Nipu, Kükusayi Nyekha, Kuzoto Phesao, Petekolie Nipu, Vekuyi Mede-o, Dojülhü Shijoh, Venuzo Dawhüo, Venuzo Vadeo, Neitseilie Zhünyü, Besüto Nienu, Khrüzoto Tetseo, Vivobeilie Punyü, Kevizhakho Suokhire and Kevizhalhou Gwirie.
The eight HEAVY WEIGHT are: Vitsoto Vitsu, Nukuta Medeo, Vehicta Khesoh, Thepukhoyi Swüro, Kikruvilie Zumu, Niekhotso Tetseo, H. John Poumai and Vezhopo Chüzho.
President of Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers Union and Founder/Controller Nagaland Taekwondo Association, Pele Khezhie will be the special invitee for the final day.
