Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): Diphupar Community Chairmen Forum (DCCF) consisting of nine tribes namely Ao, Angami, Lotha, Sumi, Chakhesang, Rengma and Pochury, Eastern Naga Public Union Diphupar Area (ENPUDA), Tangkhul, and Rongmei have urged the state government to expedite the process of shifting the present Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, to its new office complex in Chumoukedima.
In a joint statement, DCCF convenor, Vimhalie Medom, and secretary, Zuchumo Mozhui, stated that the old DC office is yet to be shifted to its new site even after a decade or more since the land was procured and necessary infrastructures were completed by spending crores of rupees to accommodate the new office. The forum has attributed to negligence and weakness of the government for holding back from shifting the office for so long.
The forum has urged the government to act together and shift the DC office to its new site at the earliest in the larger interest of the public and to save the infrastructures from rust and ruins in particular.
