DIMAPUR — In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024, a five-day first phase certification programme for assistant returning officers (ARO) of Nagaland began on February 5 at Administrative Training Institute (ATI) in Kohima.
The five-day training programme is being conducted by resource persons/ national level master trainers (NLMT) deputed by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
According to a DIPR report, the various sessions would include nomination including instructions on criminal antecedent, scrutiny of nomination, withdrawal of candidature and allotment of symbol, model code of conduct, qualification and disqualification, e-roll, district election management plan, SVEEP, service voter portal, EMS, ETPBS, NGRS, observer portal, IT application including nomination, permission, poll day, counting, ERO-net, postal ballot, polling party and poll day arrangement including polling stations, vulnerability mapping, expenditure monitoring, paid news and MCMC, EVM-VVPAT administrative procedure, EVM-VVPAT hands-on, ETPBS, counting and declaration of result.
