CEO informs on pre-certification of campaign songs for social media

The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland, has informed the presidents of all recognised and registered unrecognised political parties that uploading advertisements in electronic media without obtaining prior certification is against the Supreme Court order and standing instructions of Election Commission.

The CEO stated that any kind of advertisement in electronic media requires pre-certification from the committee before publication.

In this regard, Chairman of the Pre-certification Committee and Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Ruokuovituo Khezhie requested those political parties who have uploaded their advertisements e.g theme songs, campaign songs, etc., without pre-certification to immediately remove the contents from the platform and submit to the committee for certification.
