Dimapur, June 22 (EMN): Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland, held a review meeting for the conduct of presidential election 2022 in its office on June 22.
An update from the Election department stated that the CEO of Nagaland, V Shashank Shekhar; assistant returning officers, Khruohituonuo Rio and Darhu Shupao along with the additional CEO, Ruokuovituo Khezhie; joint CEO, Awa Lorin; and deputy CEO, R Mhathungalso attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the members reviewed on security arrangements, collection of ballot boxes and other election materials from New Delhi to be deposited after the poll, various arrangements at the place of poll, strong room, Covid-19 protocols to be followed, arrangements for videography and various other administrative arrangements.
It mentioned that the presidential election will be held on July 18 between 10 am and 5 pm. The last date for filing nominations has been set on June 29 and the counting of votes will take place in New Delhi on July 21.
