Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): The chief electoral officer (CEO) of Nagaland Abhijit Sinha has issued a circular informing that a meeting with representatives of all the print and electronic media in Nagaland will be held at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner of Kohima on Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
The meeting has been called with regard to the provision of section 127 A of the RP Act 1951 instructions of ECI on advertisement and paid news and the guideline issued by ECI, PCI and NBSA on media related matters concerning election.
Members of the State Level Media Certification and Monitoring Committee; the State Level Committee to entertain applications for certification for advertisement of political parties and candidates; station directors, AIR / Doordarshan, Kohima; media and communication officer PIB, Kohima; and representatives from all local dailies /news channels.
Also in a separate circular, the CEO has convened a meeting with representatives of all political parties in the state at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. The meeting has been called with regard to expenditure monitoring measures in view of the upcoming assembly elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
