KOHIMA — The Centre Chakhesang Public Organisation (CCPO) in Phek has approved the change of nomenclature from the Centre Chakhesang Sports Association (CCSA) to the Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation (CCYO).
The approval was issued by CCPO President Pupohu Lohe following review and deliberations in the general executive meeting held on March 18 at Sakraba town under the banner of the CCPO.
A programme in this regard was held on May 2 at the Town Hall in Sakraba, where elderly blessings were pronounced by Pukhuhu Dzudo and a dedicatory prayer was offered by Kuduhuto Dazo, Pastor of Sakraba Baptist Church.
According to the official approval, the association will henceforth be officially recognised as the Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation. It clarified that the approval pertains solely to the change of name, while the aims, objectives, and legal structure pertaining to the constitution of the Centre Chakhesang Sports Association will remain unchanged.

It further directed that the incumbent CCYO update all official records, including bank accounts, letterheads, stamp seals, and any available registration certificates, within 30 days. The newly named organisation will inherit all existing assets, liabilities, and ongoing commitments of the former association.
The CCPO stated that the approval was granted with the expectation that the newly christened Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation would continue its work in youth development, sporting activities, cultural practices, societal relationships and community service.
