Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Nikhi Chandra, consultant of the regional centre for urban and environmental studies at Lucknow, of the ministry of Urban Development, interacted with government officials of Kiphire district on August 6 in Kiphire.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates during the week informing about the visit of the official.
Nikhil Chandra’s visit to Kiphire was to discuss proposals for the preparation of a detailed master plan for aspirational (sic) district of Kiphire. During the interaction session, departments including the Medical department highlighted their departmental activities, the IPR stated.
Chandra was stated to have urged the district officers to “operate the database” besides urging them to “function uniformly for development in the area.” He requested the district to use funds judiciously for the district.
Further, he advised that each house should be connected with water supply. He asked the district’s administration to design and ‘implement the same’ for the benefit of the people.
