CEM Ronghang inaugurates road, PHC in Karbi Anglong
DIPHU — For the convenience local people under Langfer Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency, Chief Executive Member, KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang on Saturday inaugurated a newly constructed 12 km Eragaon road — Langchitung via Tikoklangso — at Bakulia town and Rajapathar Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Dharamtul village.
Following the inaugural programme, a unity, victory and prosperity rally was organised at Bahoni Adarsha playground to inform the people about the various development schemes being taken up by KAAC.
Participating in the rally the CEM said during the last five years, KAAC has constructed a sports complex worth INR 10 crore in the 26 MAC constituencies under the CM Special Package and the four-lane road from Doboka via Bakulia to Dimapur is under construction, while roads to Taralangso, Lorulangso and Matipung were also constructed.
The CEM said a total of 3,761 km roads in Karbi Anglong will be improved under various schemes. Various schemes amounting to INR 2,551 crore were laid by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Earlier, the CEM also laid the foundation stone for the construction of 26 Village Development Committee (VDC) Bhawans in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts. He also planted tree saplings at Bahoni Adarsha playground as part of the rally.
