Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB), in association with Dimapur Dental Centre, organised a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme on dental implants from June 11 to 15 at Hotel Grand Tizu, Dimapur.
Dental implants are fixed artificial teeth which are embedded in the bone. Dr. Sameer Kaura, MDS (HOD), GJS Dental College, Ludhiana, was the chief mentor for the programme. Dr. Imtiwabang Pongener, Registrar of Nagaland State Dental Council and NSDC observer of the programme, was also present.
Several doctors from various parts of Nagaland as well as from Golaghat in Assam attended the programme and enhanced their surgical skills required to perform the delicate procedure of dental implants, stated Dr. Arihant Jain, CDE convenor of IDANSB.
Dr. Arihant Jain also stated that a good number of patients were treated without any charges. During the programme, Dr. Vizo Solo expressed optimism that with the programme, dental doctors in Nagaland would now be able to give superior treatment to all the patients.
