Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): The Chakhroma Christian Revival Church, Sub-Council (CCRC-SC), Dimapur has condemned the physical assault meted to one of its dedicated church worker Neisatuo Shiinyii of Sovima village by two miscreants earlier this week.
The CCRC-SC stated in a press release made available to the media on Saturday that it was pained to know that the “victim was beaten mercilessly” without any reason in front of mute spectators in Chümoukedima town on October 22 at 3:30 pm when he came for groceries. It raised “deep concern” and sadness that that even church workers are not spared by miscreants.
Claiming that the miscreants belonged to the NPGs, the council has appealed to the higher authorities to correct their erring cadres who create bad image. “We express the hope that no such untoward incident is repeated in future against the peaceful citizens especially Church workers,” read the statement from CCRC- SB.
