Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): The Chümoukedima Circle Chakhroma Public Organisation (CCCPO) has expressed shock on learning about the operation of an illegal bottling unit of spurious liquor within its jurisdiction.
In a press release issued on Friday, the CCCPO stated that at a time when the society is trying to control illegal supply and sale of contraband items, such activity of manufacturing and supplying spurious liquor from its jurisdiction cannot be condoned or overlooked in any manner.
The organisation appreciated the 5th Assam Rifles, Khashiram Basti and Dimapur police for busting the nefarious activities taking place in its jurisdiction and arresting the culprits involved.
The CCCPO urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate into the matter till all the people involved are booked and given appropriate punishments as per the provision of law.
