CBCMHK observes World Sunday School Day

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 6: Along with the rest of the world, Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) observed the World Sunday School Day cum Graduation Day today in the church premises on the theme “I am the child of God” (John: 1:12) with Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, Senior Pastor CBCMHK, as the speaker. Stressing on the need to educate children of who they really are, Rev. Phesao insisted that ‘I am the child of God” should be instilled in the minds of all children. He said focussing children minds to always hear the words of the gospel be pondered upon as priority in the field of children ministry. “The society future lies with the children, we should put our best effort to mould up the children to be an agent of change so as to make a better world to live in,” he said. According to the Sunday School department sources, 1205 students were enrolled for the year 2016 comprising of 14 classes. 46 students from Knight Templars were conferred graduated under the aegis of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Children Ministry and was announced to have promoted to Christian Youth Endeavours 2016. The day long programme highlights included class wise presentation, presentation of the yearly awards, love feast, praise and worship, distributing of certificates to the graduating students by Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao. The function was led by Akhrole Nagchu, Sunday School Superintendent, while pastoral prayer was said by Pastor Wepre Mero, benefit of children ministry was delivered by Zhovelu Dzudo, offertory prayer was invoked by Kuzuvelu Chotso and brief report of children ministry was delivered by Sunday School recorder, Er. Angolu Vero.
