[caption id="attachment_138289" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Members of a culture troupe sing at the cultural event.[/caption] Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The Angami Catholic Youth Association (SFS of Kohima town) celebrated culture with an event dubbed the “Tsazho Nyi” on Sep. 9 at the Angami Public Organisation’s hall. Former member of the legislative assembly Khriehu Liezietsu was the chief guest of the event, a press release from the organisers informed on Monday. In his address to the gathering, Khriehu Liezietsu urged the people to “preserve our age old ethics and culture.” With advancements in various fields of human activity taking place at a rapid rate, he was quoted as having said, “We have very much overlooked our traditions today and therefore it is a reminder to everyone that we should be deeply rooted in our good traditional values as it serves as our distinct identity.” The updates stated that he appreciated the association for “keeping a day aside to relive our tradition.” “Traditional elderly blessings,” folklore, a display of attires; folk music were some of the highlights of the programme, the press release stated.
