Catholic Women Association conference held Konjuri

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he 3rd general conference of Catholic Women Association was held at Konjuri, St. Paul Parish, Pungro, from January 18 to 20, with the theme ‘Faith and Action’ with men, women, youth and delegates from various villages participated the conference.Rev Fr Kokto Kurian, Assistant Priest, St Francis, Shamator who was the resource person urged every Christian to live in ‘Action through faith’. ‘Our faith should not be only be noun but should be Verb, as Jesus says ‘Let your light thus shine before men, so that they may see your upright works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens, (Matthew 5:16)’, he said. In the second theme he also exhorted ‘victory through Christ’.
The celebrations culminated with the Holy Eucharistic officiated by Rev Fr Joe Mariadhas, Director of St. Joseph College, Jakhama.
In his homily he urged every Christian to witness lives through conviction (Faith). He was also concelebrated by Rev Fr Thomas Muttathil, Shajimon and Kokto Kurian. Rev Fr Shajimon, Parish Priest of St Paul, Pungro thanked the Catholic Community of Konjuri, delegates and all the invited guests for the meaningful and strengthening participation in spite of the distances and road condition, a press note stated.
