DIMAPUR, AUGUST 15

THE ‘Catch them Young Crusade’ for Dimapur district organized by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Youth department commenced today at Thilixu Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Thilixu Baptist Church Rev.Dr.Hevukhu Achumi and Director Youth Harvest Ministry Rev.Kilang Jamir as the speaker for the crusade.
Delivering message on ‘Jesus and You’ Rev.Kilang acknowledged that young people are facing lots of complexity where they are challenged spiritually with wrong teachings. Calling attention of the youth he stressed on catching the young people before they turn towards their ‘enemy’ and the ‘materialistic world.’
Highlighting that the Christian journey is incomplete without arriving to Jesus, Rev.Kilang noted that to be complete an individual is to participate in Christ sacrifice on the cross, and called upon the gathering to identify Jesus at the cross as he took all our sins and died for us on the cross. “To receive prosperity and blessings we need to know Christ at the cross and look to Jesus who paid the price for our sins” reiterated Rev.Kilang and reminded that it was at the cross where God demonstrated his power and love.
To know Christ, one must be willing to accept Christ instead of living in denial of one’s actions stated the speaker in his message. Pointing out that denial is a desire, which will enslave an individual without experiencing Christ, he affirmed some people to be missing God’s deliverance as they justify their deeds, sins and wickedness.
Sending out a strong message to the gathering where he maintained that Nagas have religious fear not because it comes from God. He called upon the youth to be honest and true as God is not fond of superficiality but wants us to be real. Challenging upon the youth, he upheld Christ as the savior and encouraged the youth to discard pleasure and noted that the mission of Christ is incomplete without us reaching out to him.
Greeting the gathering on the day, Youth Secy.NBCC Vikuo Rhi challenged Dimapur youth to transform through this crusade and take this opportunity to call on the name of Jesus. He admitted that only the young can change the young as they are the one who can understand the other and acknowledged that this crusade is to catch the young people to be agent of change.
The three-day crusade, which commenced today, will culminate on August 17. Western Sumi Baptist Association Youth department, Nagaland Police Baptist Church Association Youth department, Baptist Youth Fellowship Dimapur and Chumukedima Baptist Youth Fellowship, spearheads the crusade organized by NBCC for Dimapur district.
