‘Catch Them Young Crusade’ organized for Dimapur district by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Youth department under the theme ‘Jesus and You’ culminated today at Thilixu Baptist Church Dimapur.
Conveying a message on ‘Mount up with wings’, speaker Rev.Kilang Jamir cited an instance that eagles are designed to fly mounting up the sky higher than any birds. Likewise, man are created humble enough to rise and walk with God and people who wake up to God will be like the eagle. ‘We are created by God to connect to him in spirit so that we do not compromise with the sinful world’ said the speaker. Rev.Kilang said, if the wings of an eagle can give them power to rise up, only God’s power can help us mount up and will lead us to victorious life.
Drawing attention of the congregation, Rev.Kilang put across that God’s blessing comes in disguise and we need to live above natural circumstances. Bringing into picture the situation of youths, he lamented that youths are living in depression, which often comes from wrong relationships. So, he called upon the youths to let God be involved in their relationship.
Stating that people often consider waiting to be a waste which is the root cause for making wrong decision and inviting suffering, he called on the congregation not to compare one’s life with anyone which will only add on depression but look on God and walk with him.
‘Sin must be defeated in our life rather than the sin of the world and in no way tolerate sin in your life but let sin tolerate you’ expressed Rev.Kilang. Sending out a significant message to the congregation, the speaker acknowledged that to free ourselves from sinful life we need God in our life and without trusting in materialistic world we will rise up with God.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Chumukedima Baptist Youth Fellowship President Yhungwalo Lorin, Scripture reading by Lhomithi Baptist Church Youth Director Vili Zhimo and vote of thanks rendered by WSBAK Youth Secy. Rev.Ikuto Youth Secy.
