Career guidance programme held at St. Joseph University

DIMAPUR — The department of History at St. Joseph University, Nagaland, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), conducted a career guidance programme at its premises in Chümoukedima on April 10 on the theme, ‘Be extraordinary’.

According to a press release, the resource person for the programme was Metsivizo Phira, inspector of Excise, honorary faculty and proprietor of Achievers Academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Phira encouraged the students to identify and explore career options, make informed decisions about their future, and develop strategies to achieve their goals.

He also shared his own experiences, steps, and ways to prepare for the civil service examination, clarifying the doubts and queries of the students. He exhorted them to be innovative and creative, develop skills and a work culture, be extraordinary, and dare to go the extra mile.

The programme was chaired by V Shinatoli, assistant professor in the department of History. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Avinuo Chupuo, head of the department of History.

Along with four faculty members, 125 students attended the programme.
