Head Hunters and Tehok FC enters final

Mon. Nov. 4 (EMN): The Head Hunters team of 164 TA Naga will lock horns with Tehok FC, Mon in the grand finale of the Capt. N Kengruse MVC Memorial Football Tournament on Friday, November 8 at IG Stadium in Kohima .
The Head Hunters edged out two times champions Naga FC in the first semi-final match with their good form and took the lead through Thekhingri early in the 9th minute.
Staging a comeback, Menguzelie Rutsa scored the equaliser for Naga FC to make it 1-1. However, Khekiho Chisho scored in the 42nd minute for Head Hunters to take the lead again while he doubled up his score in the 78th minute of the match sealing off the victory.
In the second semi-final match, Tehok FC— the team that have remained consistent throughout the tournament— thrashed Khomi FC with a comprehensive margin of 9-0 in a one-sided second semi-final match .
The match turned out to be goal fest with Zumzum scoring a hat trick while Awangbo scored a brace for Tehok FC .
Salu, Alomei, Atun Konyak and Dalhi also added a goal apiece to completely thrashed Khomi FC in the high scoring match .
Tehok FC with the win has the record of highest victory in the tournament for winning a single match with the huge score-line of 9-0.
The two losing semi-finalists – Naga FC will play against Khomi FC, Phek on the same day of the final match.
The third place match will start at 10:00 am and the finals will be played from 1:00 pm onwards on November 8 at IG Stadium.
