The tournament is a tribute to our national hero late Captain N Kenguruse, who laid down his life during the Kargil war in 1999, stated an update received here on Monday. 10 teams from various clubs and organisations are participating in the tournament. Commandant of Jalukie battalion along with Fr Francis S Cheerangal, Principal St Xavier College and Alum Zeliang, president, Peren District Cricket Association unveiled the tournament trophy during the inaugural programme. In the inaugural match, ARC, Ahthibung won against 9 IRB, Saijang by five wickets. 10 teams will play on a knock-out basis and the final will be played on July 26, between the top two teams.
