Nerhema, Tizit Tornadoes, One Ten, Medziphema enter next round Kohima, Sep. 15 (EMN): Nerhema FC, the native village of late Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, Friday cruised into the second round of the ongoing Captain Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament with their victory against Losami Boys FC 3-0 here at Kohima local ground. Petevizo Kezieo was the star of the match as he scored a hat-trick to give his team the victory. Petevizo drew the first blood for Nerhema FC in 29th minute, followed by his second in the 48th minute. Moving into the final minutes, it was celebration time again for Petevizo who netted his hat-trick goal in the 80th minute. Playing the second match at Kohima local ground, Tizit Tornadoes eased into the second round with their comfortable victory against Saksi FC 4-0. Here even, Pangthoih scored a hat-trick to give his team the much needed victory. Tornadoes took an early lead through Pangthoih in the 13th minute, while Humang netted the second in the 21st minute. Just before interval, Pangthoih got passed the keeper in the 40th minute; while he went on to score his hat-trick goal in the 63rd minute. The victory gave Tizit Tornadoes a straight qualification to the quarter final where they will face the winner of the pre-quarterfinal match to be played between defending champions Naga FC and Nerhema FC scheduled on Saturday. Playing the first match at Tsiese Basa ground, One Ten FC blanked Thunder Club 6-0 and eased to the next round. Yeben individually put Thunder FC on the back seat as he scored five goals for One Ten FC. The match was equally poised until Yeben drew the first blood for One Ten FC in the 45th minute to end the first half 1-0. However, Thunder FC were no match for One Ten FC in the second half as the latter went on to score five more goals to seal the match 6-0. Entering the second half, Yeben was on target again in the 55th minute, while he scored his hat-trick goal two minutes later. All out to disappoint their opponent, Yeben found the back of the net in the 59th minute, while Jeep scored the fifth goal in the 60th minute. Thunder FC was placed in a difficult position as Yeben went on to score the sixth goal in the 66th minute. In the second match at Tsiese Basa, Medziphema United also made it through to the next round following their victory against Zillion FC 2-1. Shürhosül gave Medziphema an early lead when he got passed the keeper in the 3rd minute, while Khrise scored the second few minutes before the interval. Moving into the second half, Zillion FC found a lifeline when Tingsangai scored in the 68th minute, but they could find the much needed equalizer only to find themselves being knocked out of the tournament.
