Capt. N Kenguruse tourney: Victories for Sechü Zubza, Tiema Khe

KOHIMA — Sechü Zubza FC and Tiema Khe (Kidima) emerged victorious on the second day of the ongoing Capt. N Kenguruse, MVC Memorial Tournament at Jakhama Local Ground, Kohima.

In the first quarter-final match played between Sechü Zubza FC and Chedema FC, the former defeated the latter with a score of 2-0. In the second match, Tiema Khe (Kidima) defeated Hill FC 6-0, securing themselves a spot in the next round.

The second quarter-final has been scheduled for February 21, between Tyrants FC and Phesama Youth Organisation.

Viswemi FC will clash with Kingsman Tsiesema in the third quarter-final, while Tiema Khe (Kidima) will take on Jakhama Youth Organisation in the fourth quarter-final.

The tournament, which commenced on Monday, commemorates the selfless service and valour of the gallant officer who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War in 1999.

The final match and closing ceremony are scheduled to be held on February 23.
