Capt. N Kenguruse Football tournament from November 2
DIMAPUR — An official ceremony for the unveiling of poster and release of theme song for the 8th edition of Capt. N Kenguruse Football tournament was held on Monday at Kohima Science College Jotsoma.
A press release informed that the event was graced by the chief guest, Major General Manish Kumar SM, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Kohima. He honoured the parents of Captain N Kenguruse, along with well-wishers and invitees, in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices.
“The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the official tournament poster by Major General Kumar. This year’s theme song, composed and presented by Mr. Imna Yaden, resonated with the spirit of the tournament, enhancing the excitement surrounding the upcoming events.
“Mr. Neisielie Kengurüse, father of Captain N Kenguruse, delivered a moving address, sharing his insights and experiences,” it stated.
The event also introduced the brand ambassadors for this edition, Kenei Ritse, Miss Northeast 2023, and the Tetseo Sisters. With a total prize pool of INR 6.5 lakh, this edition promises to be “bigger, better, and bolder,” it stated.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 2 to the 12th at IG Stadium, Kohima, with teams from all districts of Nagaland set to participate.
