Capt. Kenguruse Tournament: Easy wins for Medziphema Royals, Tehok FC

KOHIMA — In a thrilling showcase of football prowess, Medziphema Royals FC, Chumoukedima and Tehok FC, Mon, won their respective matches at the ongoing 7th edition of Late Capt. N Kenguruse Mahavir Chakhra Memorial Football Tournament, at the IG Stadium in Kohima, on Friday.

In the first match of the day, Medziphema Royals displayed their dominance as they triumphed over New Agers FC from Kiphire with an impressive 3-0 scoreline.

The goals came from Kikruzelie, Akhingba, and Komezo in the 44th, 52nd and 79th minutes, respectively.

Tehok FC delivered an equally remarkable performance in the second match, overpowering Chang Sports Association from Tuensang 3-0.

Lima set the stage with a goal in the 7th minute and Nisede extended the lead with two more goals in the 18th and 53rd minutes, sealing the victory for Tehok.

Peace United FC vs. Xavier’s College Jalukie (Peren) – 12 noon
