Capacity building workshop for Nagaland University staff underway
DIMAPUR — A two-day capacity building workshop for academic and non-academic staff as well as for officers of Nagaland University (NU) got underway at its headquarters in Lumami, Zunheboto, on Tuesday.
The workshop is being organised by NU Lumami in collaboration with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration and Administration (NIEPA).
An update from NU Lumami stated that Prof. K Srinivas, head of the ICT project management unit and chairperson of the e-Learning cell at NIEPA, New Delhi, would lead the training sessions throughout the two-day workshop.
The inaugural session was attended by the vice chancellor of NU, Prof. JK Patnaik, who also delivered an opening address, wherein he highlighted the significance of capacity building in the realm of education.
Other dignitaries present during the inaugural session included Registrar of NU, Dr. Abemo; Dean of NU, Prof. VK Vidyarthi; finance officer, N Albert Khizho; COE, Yanrenthung Ezung and others.
An update from NU Lumami stated that the workshop was aimed at providing valuable insights into computer technology for the academic and non-academic staff and officers of Nagaland University.
It stated that the nodal officer, Kahoshe Sumi, expressed optimism that the workshop would undoubtedly empower participants with a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of computer technology.
Report stated that the participants were expected to gain practical knowledge and contribute to their professional development.
