CANSSEA Phek meet focuses on membership, representation
DIMAPUR — The newly constituted team of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA), Phek district unit, held its inaugural executive council meeting on September 2.
According to a DIPR report, several pertinent issues concerning the association’s welfare were discussed during the meeting, and specific directives were issued to various departments under Phek.
The meeting’s key actions and directives included requiring each department to collect membership fees for the previous three years, i.e., from 2021 to 2023. The fee is INR 600 per person for the three-year period.
The house authorised the officials Khoto Rhakho, president; Niekhoyi Rhakho, finance secretary; Besuta Venyo, treasurer; Kuvemudo Tunyi, vice president, sub-division Pfutsero; Akhro Ritse, joint secretary, sub-division Pfutsero; Nusa Thisa, vice president, sub-division Chozuba; Weti Kapfo, joint secretary, sub-division Chozuba; Luchuzo, vice president, sub-division Meluri; and Thutu Thurr, joint secretary, sub-division Meluri, from the CANSSEA Phek district unit to oversee the task.
All departments have been instructed to submit their membership fees and a list of names by September 30. The membership covers all employees of the state government who are regular and receive scale pay. This excludes contingent and fixed-pay employees.
Also, each department is required to nominate two representatives, preferably one health assistant and one cashier, to represent their department. These nominations should be submitted to the CANSSEA Phek district unit and the measure aims to facilitate better communication and the seamless functioning of the association.
Concerned parties have been asked to contact the president, c/o Treasuries and Accounts, Phek, and the finance secretary, c/o DC office, Phek, with any queries or clarifications.
